Leucorrhoea, also spelled as leukorrhea, is a gynecological condition characterized by an abnormal vaginal discharge from the female reproductive tract. While a certain amount of vaginal discharge is normal and serves as a part of the body’s natural self-cleaning process, leucorrhoea refers to discharge that deviates from the usual in terms of color, consistency, or odor. Normal vaginal discharge is typically clear or slightly white and is odorless. However, abnormal leucorrhoea can present as discharges that are yellow, green, brown, or tinged with blood and may have a foul or unpleasant smell.
